*Warning: YOU WILL STILL LEARN MORE THAN YOU WANTED TO ABOUT KNITTING*
When we last met, I was in the throes of categorizing ALL OF THE YARN that was not attached to needles. It was finished with minimal difficulty and/or trauma.
SEE,
Now a Knitter’s stash consists of 4 key parts; untouched yarn (which I devoted an entire post to), finished items, unfinished items and the items that were supposed to be sent to people that STILL haven’t been sent much to your great chagrin.*
Finished Items
The sweater I made in high school. On the bright side, it’s still too big for me. On the down side, it’s WAY too big for me and my first lesson in THOU SHALT MAKE A GAUGE SWATCH BEFORE KNITTING.**
Doll sweater. I entered it in a competition in high school and I got a RIBBON. Yes, I am still proud of it.
Ah…this. This is supposed to be a headband. Honestly, I just wanted to do an entrelac pattern that was short.
This is a Vacation scarf. No, really. THAT’S THE NAME OF THE PATTERN. I also made on the trip to my grandmothers funeral…so kind of like vacation?
UNFINISHED PROJECTS:
Once upon a time, there was girl. Lets call her Yuxin. Yuxin bought the author some yarn called ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. The author was highly amused. With said yarn she made a Zombie! Annis shawl. The author enjoyed the pattern so much that she made another. Neither HAVE BEEN BLOCKED.***
First of all, this is never going to be finished. EVER. Once upon a time, I decided to make a shawl out of PURE MOHAIR YARN. I made a mistake and attempted to undo it. NEVER AGAIN.****
These are FINISHED pieces of a Celtic Tote. Note the word pieces. I need to sew it together and felt it. *sigh* I should finish it shouldn’t I…
Finally, this. I finished the pieces of this sweater, Classic College Cardigan. BEFORE I WENT TO COLLEGE. I’ve now started graduate school. It’s still not sewn. I am a horrible horrible person. This probably why my resolution this year is to FINISH WHAT I START. =_=
ITEMS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO PEOPLE BUT HAVE BEEN DELAYED… A LOT or I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON.
No, this is not a mutilated ball of yarn. This is an octopus. That’s blind… and missing a leg. And was supposed to be a present for Mish. *cough* It still IS going to be a present for Mish. Once the last leg is sewn on and eyes and a mouth are added. I need to go to the craft’s store.
This is a hat and scarf set! For Samantha! It’s FINISHED…it hasn’t been sent yet. BUT IT EXISTS!
BONUS CATEGORY (i.e. What I’m working on now)
Isn’t it PRETTY! This is a KAL (knit-a-long) that I’m doing with a former classmate of mine. She’s finished hers. I haven’t finished mine. But it’s like forty percent finished. And I have incentive/guilt to finish it since my little sister’s Chinese tutor wants it.
But look at the lacy-ness!!
Okay, I’ll stop.
